FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What exactly is a "Zero Drop" shoe? A zero drop shoe features a completely flat sole, meaning the heel and the ball of the foot are at the exact same distance from the ground. Unlike traditional sneakers that elevate the heel, this flat profile supports your body's natural alignment and posture.

2. How does the wide toe box help with bunions? Traditional sneakers often feature a tapered toe box that compresses the toes, which can cause or aggravate bunions (Hallux Valgus). Our wide toe box is anatomically shaped to match the natural splay of the human foot. This provides necessary volume in the forefoot, eliminating lateral pressure on the big toe joint and comfortably accommodating existing bunions.

3. Do these look like typical barefoot shoes? No. A common complaint about barefoot shoes is that they prioritize function over everyday aesthetics. Our footwear is engineered to bridge this gap. We use standard sneaker paneling and color blocking to visually mask the extra width of the toe box. You receive the mechanical benefits of barefoot shoes combined with the look of a conventional casual sneaker.

4. How should I choose my size? Our shoes are built to standard US sizing lengths but feature a significantly wider forefoot area.

  • Please order your normal sneaker size.

  • You do not need to size up to get extra width; the toe box is already structurally designed to provide that space for wide feet and bunions.

5. I have never worn zero drop shoes before. Is there an adjustment period? Yes. If you are transitioning from traditional elevated-heel shoes, your Achilles tendon and calf muscles will need time to adapt to their natural length. We recommend wearing zero drop shoes for just 1 to 2 hours a day initially, gradually increasing the duration over 2 to 4 weeks to prevent muscle strain.

6. Do these shoes have arch support? No. True barefoot footwear intentionally excludes artificial arch support. The flat, flexible sole is designed to allow your foot muscles to engage and naturally support your arch over time.

7. Are these shoes meant for running or daily wear? While the zero drop and flexible rubber sole support active movement, this specific model is optimized for daily wear, walking, and casual environments. They are designed to keep you comfortable during long hours on your feet rather than serving as technical, high-intensity running shoes.

8. How do I clean and maintain these shoes? The mesh and synthetic upper can be easily maintained. We recommend spot cleaning with a damp cloth and mild soap. For a deeper clean, machine wash on a cold, gentle cycle. Air dry only. Do not place the shoes in a dryer or expose them to direct, high heat, as this can warp the flexible sole.
